Our delightful local villages are just a minutes stroll from our villas Beau Rivage and Le Mimosa.
Our small market villages are found amidst the lovely countryside of the Vendée department of Western France, close to the Atlantic coast and on the edge of the Marais Poitevin. They are typically French, with soft, grey stone buildings built in the traditional style, a lovely church as its centrepiece, and a vibrant twice weekly market.
Local Village Facilities
You will find a great write-up of lots of child-friendly restaurants as well as ones we recommend 'just for adults' in the electronc guidebook we send you when you book Beau Rivage and Le Mimosa.
The owners of the other villas all have their own great recommendation in their villages too.
Organsied Village Events
Colourful festivals in the village square, ranging from 'moules-frites' evenings to jazz concerts, fireworks displays, circus shows, and special children's events.
A great little park area for many hours of fun on the large green area for a great game of football or rounder's just a few minutes away....!
For as little at 10euros an hour, hire the village tennis court - we have rackets and balls for hire, in case you forget yours.
Weekly Street Markets
A holiday is not complete without a visit to one of the colourful markets that France is so famous for. The Vendée not only has traditional French markets selling local produce such as fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat, wine and local arts and crafts but also delightful speciality seafood.

Longeville sur Mer
Monday & Friday
Wednesday & Sunday
