About the Vendée
Miles of sandy beaches, sunshine and family adventures
The Vendée is made for family holidays.
Set on France's beautiful Atlantic coast, just south of Brittany and north of La Rochelle, it's a wonderful mix of long sandy beaches, pine forests, pretty seaside towns and endless things to do together.
Spend mornings building sandcastles, afternoons swimming or cycling through the forest, and warm evenings discovering local markets, restaurants and seaside villages.
And when you want a day away from the beach, there's plenty to choose from - water parks, adventure parks, zoos, aquariums, castles, surfing, and some fantastic family attractions.
The hardest part might simply be fitting everything in.
